Take a pinch of vintage, a dash of cabaret & a spot of tease and tilliation for good measure, then wrap them all up in a glorious weekend long bow... Morecambe Variety Festival takes to the British seaside for a weekend long variety festival unlike any other to hit the North West.
This May bank holiday weekend will see the debut of Morecambe Variety Festival, taking to the seaside town's atmospheric Winter gardens, bringing them back to life after their 1977 closure for one jam packed weekend of events!
Bringing you a variety packed weekend with burlesque starlets, circus stars, jugglers, contortionists, sword swallower's and oh so much more!
Former Morecambe resident & event organizer Neil Kendall is the man behind this spectacular bank holiday event 'The weekend is a return to the glory days of seaside variety and theatre' he says. 'The Morecambe Variety Festival is a colourful tribute to our town and promises to be spectacular fun'.
Opening with two lavish shows on the Saturday night in the old theatre with stilt walkers, carnival side shows, fire eaters & starlets. With an early family show followed by a more grown up ball afterwards featuring international burlesque performers, carnival parades & vintage dancing.
Attendees will also be able to catch a rather special Dr sketchy's North Wales & Chester class on the Saturday with the Morecambe mermaid & Serpentina a beautiful seductress of serpent style belly dancing posing for the weekend's class.
Rounding off with a traditional ballroom tea dance, performances & more throughout the Sunday.
