An event that's long been at the forefront of alternative fashion, LondonEdge turns 21 years young this February, and what better way to celebrate than with another astounding show at the Business Design Centre this weekend, showcasing the finest in alternative and independent fashion!
It barely seems like a day's passed since 1999 when LondonEdge first launched their global fashion platform, creating a trade show unlike any other, putting alternative fashion in the spotlight. The creation of exhibition expert Carole Hunter and gothic jewellery brand creator, Sandra Phillipson, LondonEdge certainly catered for a much sought after gap in the market.
They've certainly achieved a lot since that first show, going on to run 41 UK exhibitions, state-side show's in Las Vegas and New York, alongside their digital b2b platform. Showcasing the latest designs from a world of alternative and independent companies, and start up's - reaching trade customers from over 60 countries.
Today, they still continue to fly the flag for independent fashion. As a show that's constantly changing and evolving, they've still kept their alternative roots, supporting creative businesses looking for their big break into the industry.
There's certainly plenty to celebrate as the reach their 21st birthday, "Time has just flown, it's hard to believe that it's been 21 years... let alone that this is show #41 in the series. All those years ago when we started LondonEdge, it felt like a pipedream and we could never have imagined the awesome journey that it would take us on. Today, we are so proud as a team of all that has been accomplished.
