Celebrating five years of Alt Fashion Magazine, the Summer Fair held at Telfords warehouse, Chester was an event which should take place more often than just to celebrate a mile stone birthday!

On arriving to Telfords you are greeted by the canal at the side of this impressive industrial building.

Inside is the bar, with high ceilings, exposed timbers and brick walls hosting a comfortable seating area to have a drink or order food whilst viewing the tranquil setting of the bar/restaurant. The fair was situated in the area usually host to live bands on the dance floor and stage area.

The array of stalls snuggled together had the feeling of an Aladdin's cave, with plenty of shiny objects to satisfy the magpie in all of us! There was a variety of Jewellery stalls ranging from kitsch and cute to individual statement pieces! Even though there wasn't an abundance of lighting, stall owners were very friendly offering you the opportunity to look at your item of fancy in a better light if needed!

Corsets, shoes, accessories and interesting nik naks filled the other stalls and kept you happily browsing at the offerings till your hearts content! There was a chance to win a fantastic prize (donated from a selection of companies) on the raffle, a snippet at just a pound a ticket knowing the proceeds went to a good cause; The Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

Once all shopped out, The crafty carrot cake co offered an exquisite array of home-made cakes, in particular the baileys truffles were a blissful accompaniment to a cup of tea from the bar!

All stalls offered very reasonably priced items and array of alternative styles to suit all tastes, a welcomed and appropriate way to spend a Sunday afternoon for those looking for something a little bit different.
